On September 24, 2017, the parishioners of St. John Garabed Armenian Church received the blessings of the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian who was the day’s celebrant and homilist. During the service, Archbishop Derderian ordained sub-deacon Levon Parsegova into the Diaconate. His Eminence was assisted at the Holy Altar by the Very Rev. Fr. Pakrad Dz. V. Berjekian, Vicar General. Archpriest Fr. Datev Tatoulian participated in the service.
The Primate congratulated the newly ordained commended the altar server for his renewed commitment to service and zealous Christian spirit.
Addressing the Sunday School children from the Holy Altar, the Primate encouraged the youth to remain loyal to the teachings of Jesus Christ and to uphold the sacred traditions of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Archbishop Derderian commended the leadership of Fr. Berjekian and highlighted his pastoral dedication to Christ’s flock.
Following the service, the Primate presided over a special parish assembly wherein it was decided to commence with the construction of the church sanctuary and hall.Â
