Dr. Houri Berberian, previously a professor of Middle Eastern history and director of the Middle Eastern Studies Program at California State University, Long Beach, was installed as the Meghrouni Family Presidential Chair in Armenian Studies at the University of California in Irvine on December 8, 2016. The Very Rev. Fr. Pakrad Dz. V. Berjekian, Diocesan Vicar General, attended the installation ceremony and conveyed his genuine wishes to Dr. Berberian in her new capacity.
