"Protecting and safeguarding the Armenian Apostolic Church is the sacred responsibility of every Armenian. We are obliged to protect the Armenian Church spiritually and financially in order to ensure the continuity of her mission."Â -Â Abp. Hovnan Derderian
The time has come for the next generation to be entrusted with the sacred duty of protecting our Christian faith and continuing to build upon the dedication and hard work of our parents, grandparents, and ancestors. The Guardian Program presents a unique opportunity for the youth to uphold and safeguard the sacred legacy inherited from our forefathers, thus becoming rightful heirs of the priceless treasure – the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.
St. Leon Armenian Cathedral is the spiritual center of the Armenian people in the Western United States. It is the dream incarnate of many generations. As the next generation forms their own families and builds their careers, we call upon those who are ready to become personally involved in carrying on the traditions of our nation, protecting our Christian faith and contributing to the prosperity of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church. It is the moral obligation of each and every one of us to revere and cherish the devotion and contributions of our predecessors, ensuring the vivacity and continuous growth of our Armenian Church and communities.
The Guardian Program is intended to engage the young generation of faithful in the life of the iconic Cathedral, fostering a sense of ownership and cultivating spiritual attachment.
The Program is designed to allow donors to pledge $10,000 over a period of 10 years (less than $84 per month) to St. Leon Armenian Cathedral, giving them ample time and opportunity to fulfill their commitment without feeling overburdened as they tend to their families and pursue their career objectives.
