Special Mass in Recognition of All Immigrants

Thousands of faithful from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Diocese of San Bernardino and Orange gathered for a special Mass in Recognition of All Immigrants at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral on Sunday, July 17, 2016.

The day’s celebrant was the Most Reverend Jose H. Gomez, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Archbishop Gomez is the first Hispanic to serve as Archbishop of Los Angeles, as well as the highest-ranking Hispanic bishop in the United States.

Attending on behalf of the Primate and representing the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America was the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian.

The Mass was a final point for two groups of pilgrims who began a three-day, 50-mile walking pilgrimage to the Cathedral.
