Uaecne And Haigazian University President Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian Visits The Western Diocese

On October 21, 2025, the Reverend Dr. Paul Haidostian, President of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East (UAECNE) and President of Haigazian University in Lebanon visited the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and met with the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian.

Dr. Haidostian was accompanied by Mrs. Hasmik Baran, Chair of Board of Trustees of Haigazian University. Also present at the meeting was the Dn. Dr. Hratch Tchilingirian, Director of Institutional Innovation at the Western Diocese.

During the meeting, Dr. Haidostian shared with the Diocesan Primate current events and activities pertaining to Haigazian University’s 70th anniversary of the establishment.

Haigazian University is a private, non-profit institution in Beirut, Lebanon, with a strong focus on Armenian studies through its Armenian Department, the Haigazian Armenological Review, and the Armenian Diaspora Research Center. It provides resources like a large Armenian library collection and holds regular commemorations, conferences, and publishes research related to the Armenian diaspora and culture.
