AGBU MDS Students Receive Holy Communion

On December 6, 2024, the Very Rev. Fr. Yeremia Abgaryan, Vicar General of the Western Diocese, accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Shnork Demirjian visited the students of AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School in a spiritually enriching gathering.

During their visit, Fr. Yeremia and Fr. Shnork distributed Holy Communion to the students, creating a sacred moment of connection with their faith. The occasion underscored the Diocese's commitment to fostering faith and devotion among young members of the Armenian-American community.

The clergy also spoke about the profound importance of being in communion with God as upheld in the Armenian Apostolic tradition. They explained that Holy Communion is not only a sacred act but a means of drawing closer to Christ, allowing His presence to transform hearts and lives. "Through communion, we share in the body and blood of Christ, becoming one with Him and His Church," they stated. "This sacred union strengthens our faith and fortifies our spirits to live in accordance with His teachings." The clergy urged the students to treasure this divine connection and carry its transformative power into their daily lives.
