Donations by Western Diocese Allocated to Armenia Fund Total $1,950,000

Considering the direness of the 44-day war, which threatened the very existence of our historic land Artsakh, the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America geared its community-wide Diocesan churches' efforts toward the humanitarian relief through the Armenia Fund.

In a unified spirit and an outpouring of community support, the Western Diocese became the heart and center of the humanitarian relief efforts. From essential household supplies to medical supplies and equipment, the Western Diocese was actively engaged in ensuring the timely delivery of such essentials to those individuals and families impacted by the war. Countless fundraisers were organized, the sheer volume of which exceeded the fundraisers of all community organizations combined.

Moreover, as had been done in the past, the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, through the collective efforts of the faithful, continues to fulfill the humanitarian obligations entrusted to this venerable and God-oriented institution.  Ensuring the livelihood and the prosperity of Armenia and Artsakh will continue to be among our top priorities.

We are comforted to inform the Diocesan faithful that donations totaling $1,950,000 have been transferred by the Western Diocese to Armenia Fund.

The breakdown of the donations is as follows:

1.Housing in Gyumri for war handicap families. ($1million)

2.Reconstruction of residential and commercial structures in Syunik region. ($700,000)

3. Diocese of Artsakh ($250,000)
