We are delighted to inform our benefactors, supporters and friends that the first phase of humanitarian relief to displaced families has been successfully completed as of January 6, 2021.
This week, the Western Diocese made the second transfer of $50,000 to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in support of the displaced families from Artsakh.Â
As we have recently announced, at the direction of the Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and in collaboration with the Department of Social Services of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Western Diocese continues to carry out the humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting displaced families from Artsakh.
205 families consisting of 1,083 individuals have benefited from the program, receiving one month supplies of food and hygiene essentials.Â
Additionally the program will cover displaced families' cost of utilities (gas, electricity and water) for the moth of December.Â
