His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; and the President of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Armen Sarkissian; issued a call to declare November 22 the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes who died for the defense of Homeland in the Artsakh Liberation War.
On this occasion a decision was made to hold a commemorative service in all Armenian Churches around the world. In the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, under the presidency of the Armenian Pontiff; a commemorative service was held, following the Divine Liturgy, at the St. Trdat Open-Air Altar.
On November 22, a Requiem Service for our fallen soldiers was also held in all parishes of the Western Diocese.
