Despite the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, The Armenian Apostolic Church of Victorville has continued its efforts to fulfill the spiritual needs of the faithful parishioners in this small high desert community. During the last three months, several Bible Study discussions and Q and A sessions were held via Skype with the Visiting Priest the Rev. Fr. Vatche Hayrapetyan.
Thereafter, at the initiative of the Parish Council and the approval of Diocesan Primate His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the residence of one of the parishioners.

To date, the Divine Liturgy has been celebrated on four occasions with Fr. Vatche as the celebrant. Deacon Armen Sarkisyan accompanies Fr. Vatche during the service. All safety measures were accounted for as a joint effort by the parishioners. Also, the ladies’ society delightfully resumed its services by prepping and serving luncheons after the Divine Liturgy. We are indeed blessed to be able to come together and continue worshiping the Lord as one body of Christ.

The parishioners remain hopeful that soon services will resume monthly on the first Sunday of each month at the rented church facility. In the meantime, we continue to enjoy the unusual, unexpected and unceasing blessings of our loving God bestowed on Victorville church.
