Primate Presides Over Saturday School Teachers' Online Meeting

On Saturday, May 30, 2020, the Diocesan Primate H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian presided over an online meeting to discuss the 2020-2021 Saturday School academic year. Eighteen participants including Saturday School principals, priests, and members of the Diocesan Saturday School Executive Committee took part in the online meeting during which the Annual Saturday School Teachers’ Workshop (August 15^th), and the reopening of the Diocesan Saturday Schools were discussed. Pertaining to the latter, the drafted curriculum was introduced for both scenarios of physical and online attendance. Curriculum uniformity was among the key topics on the agenda wherein Archbishop Derderian noted the importance of implementing consistent teaching methods to carry out the educational mission of the Saturday Schools.  

The virtual meeting platform also allowed for teachers and principals to exchange thoughts and ideas about the implementation of curriculums, as well as share ways of overcoming challenges they face in their respective schools.
