“Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?” (Mark 4:40).

The life of a human being is always entangled in storms and turbulent waters. The journey of our life is challenged with all kinds of hurdles. And fear dominates our lives when we tend to exercise our faith and reveal within us the strength God has graced on us all. We often feel abandoned by God, yet we tend to forget to put our faith in action.

When Christ, our Lord, addressed His disciples as they were sailing together in stormy weather, He equally addresses us all with the same words:  “Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?”

Christ, our Lord is reminding us to put off the dust accumulated on our faith. Furthermore, He challenges us all to live the faith, the most important ingredient to illuminate our spiritual life. Thus, each of us need to respond to Christ with courage and fight the challenges and hurdles pounding on us in life and live our life with the Master.

Let us trust the Lord our God and thus faith will lead us all to stand tall and strong against all the odds of the present times.
