Little Angels Academy held its commencement exercises on Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Nazareth and Sima Kalaydjian Hall of the Western Diocese. The graduates enthralled the audience with their wonderful performances of folkloric Armenian songs by Komitas Vardapet and recited time-honored poems of Hovhannes Tumanyan on the occasion of the 150th birth year celebration of the legendary figures in Armenian history.
In his remarks, the Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian exhorted the students to cherish and uphold the sacred teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Armenian Apostolic Church, to greatly value education, to preserve the venerable beliefs of the Armenian Christian family, and to hold firm in their hearts the love for Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
In a prayer led by the Primate, the students, teachers and parents collectively beseeched the Lord’s guidance and protection throughout their lives.
