On October 31, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian presided over the Pan-ACYO Diocesan representatives meeting in Yerevan, Armenia. ACYO members from Dioceses in Armenia were represented in the meeting chaired by Mr. Mr. Gevorg Mkrtchyan, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Pan-ACYO.


His Grace Bishop Datev Hagopian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Romania; the Very Rev. Fr. Maghakia Amiryan, the Rev. Fr. Avedis Abovian, Pastor of Holy Apostles Armenian Church of Crescenta Valley; the Rev. Fr. Hratch Sargsyan, Pastor of St. Gregory of Narek Armenian Church of Richmond Heights, OH; Archpriest Fr. Petros Mailyan of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese, the Rev. Fr. Levon Hovhannisyan from the Diocese of Artik as well as ACYO members from the Araratian Diocese as well as the Dioceses of Shirak, Syunik, Artik, Armavir, Tavush, Gougark, Gegharkunik and Kotayk participated in the meeting.
Among the topics of discussion included inter-diocesan the collaboration between the youth, the pilgrimage to Artsakh in 2019 (July 2-7), and the establishment of close ties between the youth of Armenia and the Diaspora.
The European Pan-ACYO Regional meeting, hosted by the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Russia, will be held at the end of the month of November.
On November 1, the clergy met with Student Council representatives of various universities in Armenia. Deacon Gegham Avetisyan, Deacon-In-Charge of University-Church Relations, participated in the meeting, which was presided by H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. Topics of discussion included the collaboration between universities and the Armenian Church, annual meetings with His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and the establishment of pilgrimages.
