Armenian Miniature Art with a Modern Twist: Armen Daneghyan’s Exhibition on Display at the Zorayan Museum

The second art exhibition of the year was held at the Zorayan Museum on March 9 and 10 and featured thirty miniature paintings by Armen Daneghyan.

The exhibition was made possible after months of planning and preparation by the Zorayan Museum Committee.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Committee member Mr. Hayk Madoyan who highlighted the contribution of the Armenian people in the field of miniature art. In turn, the artist thanked the Primate for the opportunity to display his inner world through miniature art.

Archbishop Derderian commended the artist for his zeal and wished him continued success in his artistic endeavors. His Eminence also expressed his gratitude to the Zorayan Museum Committee for their dedicated service in promoting Armenian art.

A light reception followed the exhibition.

Modern miniature art is a relatively new field in Armenian Visual Arts. In his works, Daneghyan presented various themes including religious, patriotic, philosophical among others.
