The Diocese

On Friday, April 20, 2018, the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America welcomed officials from the City of Glendale.
The civic leaders were treated to a luncheon at the Hampar Family Reception Room.Â

After the Invocation by Fr. Vazken Movsesian, words of gratitude were expressed by Joseph Kanimian Esq., Chairman of the Diocesan Council, who welcomed the guests and noted their valuable contributions to the community life.

The Diocesan Primate reflected on the years of partnership between the Diocese and the City of Glendale. The Primate commended the city officials for their invaluable services rendered for the betterment of the community. Archbishop Derderian then introduced the community leaders as well as the Diocesan staff to Mayor Zareh Sinanyan and the officials.

The Primate introduced the Honorable Zareh Sinanyan, Mayor of the City of Glendale, who in turn, introduced his colleagues. Mayor Sinanyan stressed the importance of collaboration between the institutions and noted that he looks forward to strengthening the bond of partnership.
At the conclusion of the luncheon, the guests posed for a group photo in the Paul Brothers Galleria.
