Remembrance Of The Ten Maidens At St. Peter Armenian Church

On Holy Tuesday, the Armenian Church has a unique remembrance of one of Christ's parables, "The 10 Maidens" (Matthew 25). Every year this commemoration is marked at the St. Peter Armenian Church in Glendale. 

His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian presided over the ceremony, which included a procession by young girls, carrying lanterns in accord with the tradition of the parable. Archbishop Hovnan gave a very inspiring and special message to the girls and the St. Peter family, about the lesson of preparedness. He recounted the parable and spoke about being light-bearers for Christ.

Fr. Yeghia Isayan, Parish Priest, thanked the Primate on behalf of all those assembled.
