Agbu Asbeds Visit The Western Diocese

The AGBU Asbeds visited the Western Diocese on Thursday, March 22, 2018. In a meeting with the Diocesan Primate, the Asbeds congratulated His Eminence for the honor of the First-Degree Medal for Services to the Motherland conferred upon Archbishop Derderian by His Excellency Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia last month.

A number of topics were discussed during the meeting including the consecration of a cross-stone on April 15, 2018 dedicated to the AGBU Asbeds and a special requiem for the repose of the souls of the founders of the AGBU.

On May 22, under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Diocesan Primate, the AGBU Asbeds will organize a lecture in celebration of the 100^th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia. The evening will feature Dr. Hayk Demoyan, the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute in Yerevan, who will deliver the keynote address.

Archbishop Derderian expressed his gratitude to the AGBU Asbeds for the cordial visit and commended their ongoing commitment to preserving the rich heritage of the Armenian people through educational and cultural missions.
