On March 16, 2018, the Diocesan Primate presided over the Mid-Lent (Mitchink) Service at Holy Apostles Armenian Church.
In his remarks, Archbishop Derderian commended the resolute pastoral leadership of Fr. Avedis Abovian whose vision for a prosperous Christian community has resonated within Crescenta Valley with a tremendous response from energetic and active parishioners.
“Holy Apostles Armenian Church has truly become a growing family in the life of our Diocese. It is important to note that Fr. Avedis Abovian and the Parish Council together with the auxiliary bodies work together for the glory of God.
What is most inspiring in the life if this community is the ever-present spirit of Christianity. It continues to enlighten as it did in the first century,” said Archbishop Derderian.
The highlight of the Mitchink service was the outstanding musical performances by the children of Holy Apostles Armenian Church.
